John W. Seybert, of Indianapolis, Indiana, is a retired mathematics education professor who earned an undergraduate degree from California University of Pennsylvania, a master’s from Duquesne University, and doctorate in educational leadership from Indiana University. He holds a Letter of Eligibility certification from West Virginia University and a specialty in educational leadership from Indiana University.
Besides mathematics instruction in the classroom, Seybert held educational leadership positions throughout his career, including mathematics coach, Mathematics Department head, assistant principal, and Teacher Placement supervisor in Indianapolis Public Schools. He was a mathematics lecturer for Vincennes University and instructional systems specialist in the United States Army.
Seybert has been a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Pennsylvania State Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges, Phi Delta Kappa at Butler University, Phi Lambda Theta at Indiana University, and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics.
